INTRODUCTION: Supply Chain Management can be described in many ways. However, the import of the scheme can be described as the management of network of interconnected activities in a business in the ultimate provision of services required to ensure effective INPUT and OUPUT operations in the organization.

The essence and importance of Supply Chain Management is summed up in the fact that changes in business environment have contributed to the development of supply chain networks.
