PROGRAM OVERVIEW
According to the National Safety Council, in the United States alone, there were 104,000 workplace injuries and 5,200 workplace fatalities in 2019. Among these incidents, fires and explosions accounted for a significant
portion of workplace injuries and fatalities. Fires and explosions caused 96 workplace fatalities in the US in 2019, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Non-fatal workplace injuries caused by fires and explosions accounted for 1,300 cases in the US
in 2019, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reports that workplace fires and explosions result in an average of 15 deaths and 200 injuries per year in the US. The National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA) reports that there were an estimated 104,600 non-residential building fires in the US in 2018, resulting in 85 civilian deaths, 1,575 civilian injuries, and $2.6 billion in property damage. In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reports that
there were 20,000 workplace fires in 2019/20, resulting in 18 fatalities and 1,299 non-fatal injuries.
These statistics highlight the importance of effective fire and safety management in the workplace to prevent injuries, fatalities, and property damage. By implementing and maintaining effective fire safety measures, workplaces
can help to protect their employees and prevent these incidents from occurring.
This Effective Fire and Safety Management Course is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage fire safety in the workplace.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE
The Fire Safety Training Course is designed to raise awareness of fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using the correct fire extinguisher.
The course is also designed to train staff in your fire safety procedures.
