This course introduces participants to Lift Truck /Forklift basic operational fundamentals and principles as it matters on Material Handling process and on every day application.
For Whom:
This program is designed for Fresh Lift Truck Operators, Existing Lift Truck Operators, Preventive Maintenance Technicians, and Equipment Advisors.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- explain the importance of Lift Truck in Material Handling;
- demonstrate good knowledge of various Lift Truck Applications;
- know and demonstrate the steps involved in a Professional Lift Truck operations and carry out;
o Walk Around & Visual Inspection
o Fluid Checks e.g. Oil, Coolant etc.
- identify & demonstrate all the steps involved in performing competent PM TA1 tasks on;
- Safety Devices Parameter Verification;
o Identify & demonstrate personal safety as it relates to specific practices & equipment operation;
o Understanding Service and Parking Brake System;
o Demonstrate Defensive Lift Truck Operations guidelines;
o Recognize and apply methods involved in Material Handling and Storage;
o Apply Basic Operation observing correct position/shutdown, lockout-tag out on equipment’s; and
o Recognize & carryout all Material Handling tasks as outlined in the Operators & Maintenance Manual (OMM).

A result oriented professional mechanical engineer with over eighteen years’ industry experience in the field of maintenance of rotary equipment, supervision and inspection of the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems in an industrial concern. Have a proven track record of ensuring optimal availability and reliability of mechanical systems. Engr. Fagbenro has worked as production manager, operation manager and maintenance engineer in both Engineering service and manufacturing companies such as Dangote Industries Ltd, Ricky Adex & Co. Ltd, and Atlantic Textile Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Engr. Fagbenro is the Deputy General Manager Projects, Dangote Sugar Refinery Company Plc. He will bring his wealth of experience to bear on our programs.
