Certified HR Assessor

A Certified HR Assessor (CHRA) is a professional credential that demonstrates the ability to conduct effective and ethical human resource assessments. HR assessments are systematic and objective methods of collecting and analyzing data on the performance, potential, and needs of employees, teams, or organizations. HR assessments can be used for various purposes, such as recruitment, selection, development, appraisal, succession planning, or organizational change.

To become a CHRA, one must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in human resource management, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: At least two years of full-time or equivalent experience in conducting or supervising HR assessments in a professional setting.
• Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of HR assessment, such as the assessment cycle, the types and methods of assessment, the validity and reliability of assessment tools, the interpretation and reporting of assessment results, and the ethical and legal issues of assessment.
• Skills: A proficient level of skills in designing, administering, scoring, and evaluating HR assessments, as well as communicating and consulting with stakeholders, clients, and candidates.
• Examination: A successful completion of a written examination that tests the knowledge and skills of HR assessment. The examination consists of multiple-choice and short-answer questions and is administered by the International Association of HR Assessors (IAHRA).
