Food Safety - ISO 22000:2005 Internal Auditor is a highly interactive training programme that gives delegates a sound understanding of the techniques and principles of food safety management systems (FSMS) auditing.

This course covers the role of the internal auditor in the development and improvement of an effective food safety management system, introducing delegates to ISO 22000:2005 and associated standards.

It will enable delegates to plan, perform and report the results of internal FSMS audits with the aim of developing and improving the FSMS of an organisation. Additionally, this course focuses on the most important attributes of a modern and effective quality management system and helps them to understand the role of the auditor in its development and continual improvement

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This  2 day Food Safety - ISO 22000:2005 Internal Auditor Course is aimed at delegates who will undertake internal FSMS audits, or who will be required to plan, manage and implement internal FSMS audit programmes.

It is also useful for team leaders and supervisors in FSMS quality-driven organisations, who are looking to broaden their awareness of FSMS issues in order to understand how they can improve their overall contribution to the success of the business.

The course does not require any past auditing or FSMS management experience

COURSE OUTCOME:

By the end of this ISO 22000 Internal Auditor training course, delegates will understand the principles of internal FSMS auditing and be able to:

• plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal audit of part of a quality management system based on ISO 22000, and in accordance with ISO 19011
• explain the process based quality management system model for ISO 22000 with reference to the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle, and the role of internal audit in the maintenance and improvement of quality management systems
• gather objective evidence through interview, observation and sampling of documentation
• write factual audit reports that help to improve the effectiveness of the management system by the implementation of appropriate corrective action                      Page 3
