Synopsis:

Cementing plays an important role in an oil well construction. Cementing provides zonal isolation, protection of casing from corrosive formation fluids, drilling shocks, burst and collapse. This is why it is important to ensure that the right cementing techniques are used to provide the best value to your well.

The course focuses on primary cementing and remedial cementing. Cement additives selection, lab testing, annular gas migration and best practices for cementing operations are introduced to enable the participant to make a more economical choosing of a cement design.
