ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training course also referred to as OHSMS Lead Auditor training is designed to help participants understand the ways to promote and protect the physical and mental well-being of workers and focus on reducing occupational injuries and diseases. Participants are trained to receive expert skills and knowledge to carry out audits in OHS.
Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to enable participants learn how to:
- Carry out first-party to third-party audits of occupational health and safety management system.
- Improve worker’s safety
- Understand processes to prevent risk and hazard assessment.
- Become competent and consistent in OHS audits
- Implement good OHS policies
- Reduce work-related injuries, ill-health and deaths
Course Duration
Classroom study mode is covered in 5 days. While the online study mode runs for 30days. The total program consists of a recommended 40 learning hours and 10 personal study hours to complete and be fully prepared for the examination.

This course is suitable for everyone seeking to build professional competence in the subject-area and auditors and individuals who performance occupational health and safety management audits leading to certifications and are responsible for maintaining conformance of quality management requirements. Mode of Study, Fees and Payment Plan
This program exists in 2 modes of study – the classroom and online. The Classroom cost NGN200,000 while the online mode cost NGN185,000 for the full package. The fees cover the training, continuous assessment, examination registration, study materials and other related materials. We allow flexible payment plan of up to 3 instalments before examination.

Mode of Examination, Results and Certificates
The examination consists of 4 sections and requires a final score of 70% and above as pass mark. Results are released within 30 working days after examination and Successful candidates are issued with BSI Certificate of Achievement while the unsuccessful candidates receive Certificates of Attendance within 10 working days of receiving result.
