NEBOSH IGC (Unit 1, 2 & 3)

NEBOSH IGC stands for the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) International General Certificate. It is a globally recognized qualification designed to provide a broad understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices.

The NEBOSH IGC consists of three units:

1. Unit IG1: Management of Health and Safety

   • This unit focuses on the principles of health and safety management and covers topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, control measures, legal requirements, and health and safety management systems.

2. Unit IG2: Risk Assessment

   • In this unit, candidates are required to conduct a risk assessment of a workplace or task. They need to demonstrate their ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.

3. Unit IG3: Practical Application

   • The third unit is a practical assessment, where candidates need to apply the knowledge gained from Units IG1 and IG2 to a real workplace scenario. This assessment is conducted in the candidate's workplace or another suitable workplace.

Candidates who successfully complete all three units of the NEBOSH IGC are awarded the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
