Course Overview
NEBOSH IGC training covers a wide range of health and safety topics, from helping employers understand their legal and moral responsibilities, to even more superior subject-matter such as conducting risk assessments by Employees. The NEBOSH International General Certificate course provides experience and exposure to a qualitative personal development. Successful participants are entitled to become Associate members of IOSH and IIRSM.
Course is certified by NEBOSH - The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) a UK-based examination board delivering vocational qualifications in health, safety and environment practice and management. NEBOSH IGC course is NVQ safety level 6 and a perfect step towards the NEBOSH Diploma – which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to enable participants learn:
- Steps to effectively management occupational health and safety
- How to identify and control common workplace hazards
- Ways to minimize workplace injuries and accidents
- How to boost workers wellbeing
- To understand relevant key international OH&S standards and how to apply them
Course Duration
This course is delivered via online. The total program consists of a recommended 65 learning hours and 40 personal study hours to complete and be fully prepared for the examination.
Entry Requirements
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is ideal for everyone seeking to build a career in health and safety management ranging from the intending to existing professionals, oil & gas workers, consultants, top executives, internal & lead auditors, project managers, supervisors and young graduates. Learners do not need previous experience to enroll, training or write the international examination.
Mode of Study, Fees and Payment Plan
This program consists of 2 modes of study. Learners can decide to go for classroom mode of study or online mode of study. The Online mode cost NGN200,000 for full package. The fees cover the online study, examination registration, study materials, closing interview, practical fees, and other related materials.
We allow flexible payment plan of up to 3 instalments before examination.

Mode of Examination
NEBOSH introduced a new mode of writing the NEBOSH IG1 unit examination through a remote and online assessment otherwise referred to as Open Book Examination (OBE). Open book examination will enable learners to sit the NEBOSH exam at any location of their choice, either at home or anywhere safe and suitable for concentration. It is now an online examination and learners will have up to 24 hours to complete and submit their scripts online. The pass mark for open book examinations is 45%.
0-44% is fail, 45-64% is pass, 65-74% is credit and 75-100% is distinction. The NEBOSH IG2 unit is a risk assessment work that you complete and submit online for assessment. Its graded as pass and fail. No score is given.
When will I receive my results and Certificates if successful?
Results are released 50 working days after the examination and sent directly to your email address. Successful candidates will receive their certificates for units passed within 20 working days after receiving results. Certificates will be dispatched to your study center.
