Types of COSH Training for AMO (Authorized Managing Officer) and STE (Sustaining Technical Employee):
- 16 hours PCAB Accredited COSH Training exclusive for AMO, in compliance with PCAB Contractor License requirement
- 40 hours DOLE and PCAB Accredited COSH Training for AMO and STE, in compliance with PCAB Contractor License; construction site Safety Officer 2 SO2, and DOLE requirements
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of contracting business operations, it is recommended to register for the 5-day COSH Training. The registration fee for both options is the same.
- An AMO have the option to take either the 16 hours or 40 hours COSH Training, and they can complete it either before or after their AMO Seminar
- STEs are required by PCAB to attend the 40 hours COSH Training
Who are qualified to join the COSH Training?
All AMO, STE, Safety Officer are welcome to attend. Students and professionals interested to learn are also encouraged to participate.
Contractors and companies involved in contracting must obtain a PCAB Contractor License by law. This license legitimizes their operations in the construction industry and is issued by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB).

This is compliant to the requirement by PCAB for AMO to undertake a Safety and Health Management orientation for Authorized Managing Officer Amo. This 2 days training is not accredited by DOLE. For DOLE and PCAB Accredited
COSH
40 hours PCAB COSH Training is conducted online via Zoom. This is compliant to the requirements set by PCAB for COntractor License Application. This COSH must be taken by AMO and STE. This 5 days training is compliant also to DOLE Requirements under DOLE
DO No. 198-18 and DO No. 13
40 hours COSH is more comprehensive. It is compliant to both DOLE and PCAB requirements. It is for AMO and STE. The Registration Fee is the same. Suggestion is, take the 40 hours.
