Outline
Gondola is used for heavy applications on facades, chimneys, silos, bridges etc. Platform is intended for temporary applications for lifting people and their working equipment - at unlimited heights.
Gondola safety refers to the measures and procedures that are put in place to protect workers who are using gondolas, which are suspended platforms that are used for maintenance, construction, and other activities. Safety measures for gondolas include regular
inspection and maintenance of the equipment, proper training for workers on how to safely use and operate the gondolas, and adherence to safety guidelines and regulations set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or other relevant regulatory
bodies. It is also important to have a clear communication system in place and to ensure that workers are aware of potential hazards and know how to respond in the event of an emergency.
Additionally, in construction, gondolas are typically used to access high areas, workers must wear Personal Protective Equipment, such as safety harness and hard hat, and be trained in fall protection and emergency evacuation procedures.
Regular checks and inspections, ensuring that the gondola is properly loaded and following the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines, will guarantee the safety of the workers while they work on the gondolas.
