This boot camp will provide participants with a hands-on experience using the most current practices for effective strategic planning in any organization. In just three days, participants will learn how to think strategically and walk away with a clear, written plan of action to lead strategic change in their organization.

  • PESTEL and Porter 5 Forces (for scanning the external environment)
  • SWOT (for scanning the internal environment)
  • Value Disciplines for a client-focused approach to planning
  • Strategy Map
  • Balanced Scorecard (BSC)
  • This course is designed for top level professionals and CEOs who are accountable for their team, division, or entire organization’s strategic planning and would like to gain immediately applicable knowledge, skills, and techniques to plan for a new business year and further.
  • In the initial session of the BootCamp, participants will focus on setting a strategic direction for their organization. They will focus on how a well-defined strategic planning process can benefit a their organization. Participants will also begin to look at the development of benchmarks and indicators of success.
  • Participants will create a realistic business roadmap, grounded in multi-year budget projections, organizational priorities and a development plan with goals and benchmarks. In addition, participants will learn how to determine appropriate and measureable benchmarks to track progress and identify when revisions to the plan might be needed. As participants focus on “Program/Project Evaluation,” they will learn how to forecast an evaluation and use effective and practical evaluation methods that can help ensure a successful outcome.

The Strategic and Business Planning Bootcamp will provide for purpose professionals with the knowledge and skills to develop a strategic plan, an accompanying business or operational plan and how to measure success.

  • Implementing the plan through business and operational plan development
  • Practical examples of strategic and business plans
